Arkhangelsk Region Governor Alexander Tsybulsky and Director of the Department for Arctic Zone Development at the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEADC) Ilya Chernov discussed the preparation of the region’s investment development plan.According to the press service of the governor, the Arkhangelsk Region will be the first Arctic region to have this plan.“Attracting investments is a key priority. I am always ready to meet with investors, and we are willing to support investment projects for the region’s development and help deal with all related issues,” Governor Alexander Tsybulsky stated.Cooperation with the FEADC offers access to the database of potential investors, available financial, administrative and infrastructure support instruments, and best project implementation practices.The draft development plan will be used to formulate the region’s systemic and long-term investment policy, structure the key development spheres (industry, the transport and logistics network, tourism, infrastructure, and territorial development), and align their development with concrete support measures and investment projects.The governor and the FEADC official also agreed to include the Arkhangelsk Region into the corporation’s foreign marketing plan to inform foreign investors about the opportunities available in the region.It was noted that these efforts are being taken at the request of Deputy Prime Minister – Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, who instructed the corporation and the regional government to prepare the document during his working visit to Pomorye in November 2025.
