A building measuring 1,800 square meters with the capacity of 6,000 tons of cargoes per year will make it possible to build up the airport’s freight turnover, its press service reports.
Built from scratch, the new terminal has all the necessary equipment for cargo handling, including loading and unloading aprons, shelf stands, and introscopes. There are administrative premises on the second level. In addition, the terminal can be approached from the Blagoveshchensk-Bibikovo road and has a parking lot of its own.
The terminal was built under the Blagoveshchensk (Ignatievo) airport’s reconstruction program. Earlier, a new passenger terminal was built and the landside square was overhauled as part of the same program.
