Russian Far Eastern ports boost coal exports in 2025

The best outturn indicators were chalked by the ports of Vanino with 36.3 million tons (+50.3%), Vladivostok with 21.0 million tons (+42.3%), Vostochny with 30.2 million tons (–8.9%), and Shakhtyorsk with 17.4 million tons (+25.9%), press service of the Federal Agency for Sea and Inland Water Transport (Rosmorrechflot) reports.

In 2025, coal turnover grew by 15.6 percent on 2024, reaching 126.8 million tons, most of which – 125.8 million tons – fell on export haulage (+15.8%).

In the Primorye Territory, coal transshipment for export is concentrated in the ports of Vladivostok, Posyet, Vostochny, and Nakhodka. In 2025, these handled a total of 71.8 tons of coal, or 3.3 percent more than in 2024.
