Precious metal production grows in Chukotka
By early August 2025, gold output in the Chukotka Autonomous Area had reached an estimated 13.4 tons, marking a 22% year-on-year increase. Silver output shows an even more substantial growth, by 47%, to 69.4 tons, according to the region’s Department of Industrial Policy.
Gold placer production remains a stand-alone area of production. The latest yield amounts to 1.1 tons.
The department also reported the production numbers across other mineral products: 36 mln cub m of natural gas, 955,600 tons of bituminous coal and 33,200 tons of lignite, among others.
