Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and noted that Arctic regions were posting record-breaking birth rates; he suggested finding out how such results were being achieved.Addressing the meeting, the President said Russia’s Arctic regions accounted for record-breaking birth rates; he noted that he had already looked through the records and noted that they did not always place first in other fields, but that it was, nevertheless, necessary to take a closer look and see what was going on there, and how they achieved such results.During the meeting, the President suggested that ASI specialists compile ranking surveys of regional birth rates in order to compare specific indicators.
