Airfare discounts will be available to children aged from six to 18 notwithstanding their permanent registration in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, according to the regional government press service.

“We understand that not everybody living in Yamal are registered here as permanent residents. But the fact that children go to school is a sufficient confirmation for us that people actually live here. So, we will make certain amendments and such children will be able to enjoy the discount since the New Year,” noted head of the region Dmitry Artyukhov.

Schoolchildren only have to get registered in the application or at the site of the Moroshka [Cloudberry] regional project to buy a ticket at a preferential rate. Children will be able to buy discounted tickets for four inter-regional flights and for six flights within the region. The amendments will apply to plane and helicopter flights of the Yamal Airlines.

About 10,000 schoolchildren are expected to join this loyalty program.
