The Buryat language is the first from the Mongolian language group to appear in Yandex.Translate after Mongolian itself, the press service of the Republic of Buryatia Government reports.

The dictionary was prepared on the basis of the data provided by the Belig Republican Center that renders support in studying ethnic languages.

Now users can translate from Buryat into over 100 other languages and back.

The project intended to preserve the languages of the peoples of Russia is implemented by Yandex with the support from the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs. Now, translation services are available in the Tatar, Bashkir, Mari, Mountain Mari, Udmurt, Chuvash, Yakut, Tuvan, Ossetian, Komi, Erzya, Moksha, Karachay-Balkar, and Kabardian languages, in addition to the Buryat language.
