Far Eastern regions to receive subsidies for implementing Zemsky Trainer (Rural Coach) program

Twenty-six regions in the Far Eastern and Central federal districts (that requested these subsidies in 2025) will receive 90.6 million rubles. These territories are to attract about 80 specialists before the year is out, according to the Russian Government’s website.

Under this program, physical fitness and sports instructors working in communities with a population of under 50,000 will receive lump-sum compensations. If these communities are located in Russia’s Far East, they will be entitled to two million rubles each; those arriving in other regions are to get one million rubles.

Specialists with a higher or secondary professional education can obtain support from the state. For this purpose, they should sign a full-time service-labor contract (that stipulates a full working day) with a physical fitness and sports agency and pledge to work there for at least five years.
