Summer vacation was organized for more than 36,000 schoolchildren, including 1,847 participants in the Arctic Children program, according to the report presented at a regional government meeting on the outcome of the children’s summer health campaign.As many as 392 children’s centers were open in the region during the summer. Pomorye kids were also welcome at the children’s health centers in the Vologda and Rostov regions, Crimea and Dagestan.Notably, activities focused on physical fitness and sports, patriotic upbringing, career guidance and tourism were among the most popular this year. Local history and culture is another promising recreation theme.Some 200 themed sessions were organized for young residents of the northern territories.
