Training complex with VR simulators for high-altitude assembly workers opens in northern Krasnoyarsk Territory

A multifunctional training complex for preparing oil industry workers to carry out work at heights has opened at the Vankor oil and gas field in the north of Krasnoyarsk Territory, according to RN-Vankor, a Rosneft subsidiary. The facility will provide practical training for around 1,300 specialists every year.

The complex is equipped with modern training tools, including VR simulators designed to teach the correct and safe sequence of actions for all types of high-altitude work. The combination of training structures and virtual reality tools makes it possible to practise skills in conditions that closely replicate real-life operations, directly adjacent to shift workers’ sites.

The training program places particular emphasis on the correct use of different types of safety harnesses and equipment. The acquired skills will enhance the quality of training for specialists working at height, including on high-voltage lines, overpasses, reservoirs and in confined spaces.
