Page for Yamal nomads opens on public services platform
The Gosuslugi (public services) platform has launched a special page with information about regional support measures for small indigenous peoples of the North, reads a press release of the Government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.
The users will have access to information about applying for child benefits, allocations for building a chum (a traditional conical tent-like house), education, clothing and footwear purchase certificates, monthly benefits, free prosthetic dentistry, and many other services.
“Over 70% of applications for services to small indigenous peoples of the North are submitted online, which is proof of high demand for digital services among Yamal nomads. The new page [on the public services platform] offers quick access to these services, information about the documents needed to receive services and where to receive them,” said Maria Kalinina, head of the e-government section at the Information and Communications Technology Department of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area.
The page also offers free legal advice, answers to frequently asked questions, and a direct link to the site of the regional department for small indigenous peoples of the North.
A page on archival documents, which is scheduled to open by the end of the year, will provide access to all public services in this sphere, the press release says.
