Russian naval ships conduct anti-submarine training in the Arctic

The crew of the Severomorsk carried out submarine detection training in the Barents Sea with the use of helicopters, the Press Service of the Northern Fleet reported.

The exercise was part of a long-distance voyage, of the Northern Fleet’s naval squadron in the Arctic zone.

A Kamov Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopter crew practiced tactical methods of detection and tracking at a distance of about 60 kilometers from the ship, using the helicopter’s standard radar equipment and onboard sonar.
