Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic appreciates the Yamal LNG efficiency

Yamal LNG may well be recognized as the most successful project in the Russian Arctic in 2025, said State Secretary - Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Anton Basansky in a conversation with an Arctic.ru correspondent.

“I can say for sure that this is one of the most efficient projects in terms of construction rate, putting into operation and output of useful components,” he said in response to a journalist’s question.

Yamal LNG is the Russian project of liquifying natural gas on the basis of Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye gas field. The project includes three production lines. The plant’s aggregate capacity is about 17.5 million tons of LNG a year.
