Two billion rubles to be allocated for rural development in Khabarovsk Territory
Overall, 15 projects in backbone settlements will be implemented by 2028, including nine in Chegdomyn and six in Vanino, reads a press release of the Khabarovsk Territory’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
The projects in Chegdomyn provide for renovating a cinema house, the Veterans’ Nursing Home, several kindergartens, the Child Development Center, a stadium, a general school and a high school, as well as for building a multifunctional sports center. The projects in Vanino include the renovation of the Children’s Art School, the Culture Center, the Technical Creativity Youth Center, the Extracurricular Activities Center, and the cold water supply and sewage networks.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Andrei Romanchenko stated that the Khabarovsk Territory is the only region in the Far East to receive so much money for rural development.
“Our people need good roads, refurbished administrative buildings, street lights and beautiful parks. Much of the credit in this sphere goes to local governments, which take part in selecting projects and also advance their own ideas,” Romanchenko pointed out.
