Emergencies Ministry set to complete its Arctic center in Yamal
The new comprehensive search-and-rescue center of the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief in Sabetta has already started hiring personnel; essential equipment and technical systems are also being delivered.
In November 2025, members of a commission headed by Russia’s Deputy Emergencies Minister Roman Kurynin will check the state of all local facilities. The center is to open in March 2026.
There are plans to establish similar centers in Tiksi and Dikson for quickly deploying the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s forces and resources across the territory.
