Kamchatka received over 500 million rubles for developing Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky infrastructure

In 2026, the Kamchatka Territory will receive 574.6 million rubles from the single presidential subsidy for developing the social, housing and cultural infrastructure of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to the regional government’s website.

The funding will be used to build a kindergarten, to reconstruct and equip cultural heritage sites and landmarks (where an art cluster will open later on), and to install a rainwater-drainage system on Lake Kultuchnoye.

“I hereby instruct government agencies in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and the local administration to disburse the funding in a thrifty manner, to compile the schedule of works in advance and to conduct tenders for the best contractors. The funding should be spent as planned. The concerned ministries should assume personal responsibility for this,” Kamchatka Territory Governor Vladimir Solodov noted.
