Trade and logistics hub and new storage centers will be established in the Krasnoyarsk Arctic regions
Construction of new storage and processing facilities, as well as modern trade and logistics centers, will begin in the Arctic regions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory within the next two years. The corresponding directive was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the official website of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The first storage and processing facilities are planned to open in 2026. They will handle and process reindeer meat and other traditional products, ensuring their quality.
The first trade and logistics center is set to open near the village of Khatanga in 2027. It will function as a hub for delivering essential goods to northern settlements and as a facility for purchasing, storing, and selling locally produced products.
“Trade and logistics centers, along with storage hubs, are practical solutions for the Arctic,” said Anton Narchuganov, head of the Agency for the Development of Northern Territories and Support of Indigenous Minorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. “They simplify the supply of remote villages, create jobs, and enable local residents to earn a living through traditional farming. Such projects strengthen the northern economy, making life for people more stable and predictable”.
