Yakutia to be allocated over 280 million rubles for re-equipment of two perinatal centers

As of today, over 60 percent of planned medical equipment has been purchased for the Mikhail Nikolayev National Center of Medicine and the Yakutian Republican Clinical Hospital, regional Government’s Press Service reports.

Perinatal centers have already received new beds, monitors watching patients’ vital functions, an artificial lung ventilator, a portable ultrasound machine for patients in the obstetrics and gynaecology resuscitation unit, as well as a reinfusion machine.

“These measures will make it possible to improve the quality of medical assistance at perinatal centers and the efficacy of developmental care for infants with extreme or very low body mass,” Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Tatyana Pavlova said.
