Preparations at the power supply facilities in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area are at the final stage, with most work done in the Taz and Krasnoselkup districts, the Press Service of the region’s Government reports.

Local power engineers have carried out technical measures at 58 power plants and 115 substations that supply electric power to populated localities and energy producing centers.   

The 700-strong fleet of reserve diesel generators is being tested for efficiency at all life support and social facilities. 

New equipment has been installed at the power plant in the Taz District, which is likely to increase its output from 16.5 to 18 MW. Operational and verification testing is in progress. In Krasnoselkup, a new power unit has been set up at the local gas engine generator plant to boost its output from 10.5 to 12 MW.
