A journalist from Yakutia asked a question during the Direct Line about the prospects of returning the Far East allowance in the Arctic. Vladimir Putin promised to pay attention to the energy tariffs for the Russian North, including Yakutia.

“I promise you to pay attention to the allowance. The republican economy is developing, in general, which means that it requires more energy at affordable and competitive prices,” the President said.

He added that Yakutia will build up power generation for the mineral resources production and reduction in the power cost.
