Primorye Territory producing more milk, meat and eggs
Over the past six months, farmers in the Primorye Territory have procured nearly 54,000 metric tons of pork and poultry, 33,000 tons of milk and 124 million eggs, making the region a leader in agricultural output across the Russian Far East.
“This success is above all due to the dedication of local farmers who, despite ongoing industrialization, continue to live and work in rural areas, increasing the production of environmentally friendly foods,” said Andrei Bronts, the Primorye Territory’s Minister of Agriculture.
The ministry reported that compared to the previous year, meat production increased by 35%, egg production by 17%, and milk output by 4%. At the same time, retail and wholesale trade sectors in the region rose by 13% and 2.5%, respectively, while the catering sector grew by nearly 9%.
