New regional applications for treasury infrastructure loans approved

The Presidium (Response Center) of the Government Commission on Regional Development has approved applications from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and the Republic of Karelia, totaling 19.8 billion rubles.

“These are important decisions that directly affect the socioeconomic development of communities and regions as a whole. Specifically, they involve facilities in the fields of sports, tourism, and road infrastructure. The quality of public services will also improve significantly for hundreds of thousands of citizens. The successful implementation of these projects largely depends on the coordinated and efficient work of regional teams. Residents must quickly receive new facilities and see positive changes,” Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin noted.

In particular, 2.28 billion rubles will be allocated to the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area to build ski slopes and chairlift engineering infrastructure.

In the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), 10.18 billion rubles in Treasury Infrastructure Loans (TILs) will finance the construction of a bridge across the Lena River near Yakutsk and to connect the new Sportivny microdistrict to utility networks.

Additionally, the Republic of Karelia will receive 1.02 billion rubles in TILs for the renovation of a stadium and the overhaul of water treatment facilities.

According to Vasily Kupyzin, CEO of the Territorial Development Fund, projects from 82 regions totaling 353.63 billion rubles have been approved to date.

“These funds will be used to upgrade housing and utilities infrastructure and to develop social, road transport, and tourism facilities,” Kupyzin said.
