Chukotka to receive over 586 million rubles for socioeconomic development
The Presidium of the Government Commission on the Development of the Russian Far East has adopted a decision to allocate a subsidy for projects included in Anadyr’s master plan and other regional initiatives, press service of the Chukotka Autonomous Area Government reports.
A total of 586.5 million rubles will be directed towards comprehensive infrastructural development, including the renovation of the Education Center in Ugolnye Kopi, the opening of up-to-date training workshops at vocational schools in Bilibino and Egvekinot, the construction of a student gym in Bilibino, as well as the design of new college building in Anadyr and the district rehabilitation center.
In the social sector, part of the funding will go towards housing for graduates of the regional managerial training program.
In the economic sphere, part of the allocations will be used to develop the Anadyr industrial park and build a fish processing shop in Beringovsky.
