The government revises the list of Northern Supply Haul territories
Two territories – Karelia and the Tyumen Region – have been struck off the list following a change in the transport communications conditions, the government resolution says.
Conversely, the whole of the Kamchatka Territory has been put on the list of Northern Supply Haul (NSH) destinations. The reason is its geographical location, natural and climatic features, and the lack of motor roads linking the peninsula with the rest of the country.
The government has also modified the list of concrete populated localities and districts in several other Arctic regions entitled to deliveries in the NSH context. Addenda to the document indicate that the adjustments are based on proposals submitted by the authorities in the relevant regions.
