3rd Arctic − Regions Forum

Arctic development to be discussed at the 3rd Arctic − Regions Forum in Arkhangelsk

Arkhangelsk will host the 3rd Arctic − Regions Forum from July 31 to August 1, 2025.  The event will bring together representatives of the executive authorities, the business community, academia, and the public to discuss key issues related to Arctic development. 

This year, the forum participants will focus on strengthening international cooperation and fostering ties between Arctic regions, as well as addressing strategic issues of federal importance involved in developing the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.  

The participants will also explore ways to enhance the region’s investment appeal, present new projects, including those dealing with import substitution, discuss effective shipping and maritime logistics along the Northern Sea Route, review the development of key populated localities and resources in the Arctic zone, and much else.

The forum’s business program features several thematic areas:

• development of port infrastructure and shipbuilding;
• digitalization and innovative development of Arctic territories;
• sustainable use of natural resources;
• development of Arctic cities and social infrastructure;
• Arctic tourism;
• the region’s human resources potential.
