TM-140 all-terrain vehicle to be used for exploration purposes in Yakutia

The first tracked all-terrain vehicle manufactured at Kurganmashzavod (High Precision Systems Holding, Rostec) will be used to deliver cargo to mineral exploration geologists working in deep virgin snow, permafrost and mountain areas of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Rostec Corporation said in a press release.

The snow and swamp-going vehicle has passed multilevel tests. It has a living quarter module, an additional fuel tank and a winch. Its cabin can seat up to seven people and is quite comfortable in low temperatures. The living quarter module is good for a shift of eight people. The vehicle has a capacity up to 4 tons, and its fuel distance can be increased from 550 to 870 km with additional fuel tanks.

Tracked all-terrain vehicles are widely used in the oil, gas and mining sectors, as well as for search and rescue purposes in the republics of Komi and Sakha (Yakutia), in the Arkhangelsk and Murmansk regions, in the Chukotka Autonomous Area, and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
