The regions of the Far Eastern Federal District have received 677 new buses since 2020, according to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
The largest number of buses has been delivered to the Republic of Buryatia (64), the Amur Region (35) and the Magadan Region (11). The bus fleet renewal is proceeding within the framework of the Infrastructure for Life national project and the special treasury loans program.
“The Far Eastern Federal District is a strategically important and vast microregion with a rigorous climate. Reliable public transport has a direct effect on connectivity and the quality of life there,” the deputy prime minister emphasized.
He said that a serious boost to the fleet renewal was provided by the special treasury loans program, thanks to which 429 new buses have been delivered to the district. A total of 111 buses out of the 178 vehicles to be delivered this year have already hit the road, and several regions have fully met the supply targets.
