At the Creative Economy Days forum in St Petersburg, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Anatoly Semyonov and Director for Creative Industries at the Yakutia Development Corporation Pyotr Gogolev presented a regional development strategy until 2032, the regional government’s press service reports.
The strategy aims to support creative professionals and companies, promote local products in external markets, foster a favorable business environment, and train a skilled workforce.
It is reported that plans for the coming years include establishing a production center and a cinema fund in Yakutia, as well as a Far Eastern cinema center, and adopting regional legislation on creative industries.
Yakutia also plans to increase the number of companies with regular sales outside the region, with a target of 50 such businesses by 2032. The strategy also envisages boosting external sales and foreign revenue, attracting private investment, and expanding the creative-sector workforce.
“The primary goal of this strategy is to give the republic’s talented young people an opportunity to make their dreams come true and bring their projects to life right here in Yakutia, take their products to the global market, and build prosperous and happy lives,” Anatoly Semyonov emphasized.
