In 2027, funding for Patrioticheskaya Priority Development Area in Russia’s Far East will increase by one billion rubles, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, Alexei Chekunkov, said. He made this statement during a meeting of a State Duma committee on the draft federal budget for 2027-2029.
“All manufactured goods are tested, and their tactical and technical characteristics are adjusted and fine-tuned all the time, so that we always remain one step ahead,” the minister pointed out.
There are plans to allocate an additional one billion rubles for protecting critical infrastructure facilities in the Far Eastern Federal District. This implies active and passive defenses. On a separate note, Alexei Chekunkov said that production of air defense drones had been launched in the Far East.
