On October 19-23, Arkhangelsk and Severodvinsk are hosting Days of Arctic Science. Held as part of Arctic. Science. Future project, the events are taking place at the Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University as the main venue.School and university students and other attendees will meet with researchers, take part in quizzes, attend lectures, guided tours and educational film screenings, as well as science-themed games. The program is designed to suit participants of all ages.During the Geometry of Icebergs quiz, participants in the Days of Arctic Science will discover the way ice forms relate to mathematics, while those taking part in the Northern Experts quiz will gain an insight into the history, climate, flora and fauna of the Arkhangelsk Region. There will also be a lecture titled Three Arctic Expeditions of 1912 on the history of polar research.For more details, go to event’s website.
