“RusHydro plans to attract over 1,000 professionals to the power generation facilities that are being built and modernized in the Far East,” RusHydro CEO Viktor Khmarin said at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
He said the increase of the generating capacity in the region by over 2 GW has caused a sharp increase in demand for personnel.
Viktor Khmarin also noted that RusHydro continues implementing its hydropower projects in the Far East.
In particular, design work on the 400 MW Nizhne-Zeyskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant is proceeding at an accelerated pace in the Amur Region. The plant will be instrumental in supplying electricity for the region and protecting its areas in the lower reaches of the Zeya River during the flood season.
“Further power generation development is crucial for the implementation of numerous plans across many economic sectors, as well as for the quality of life in the houses of our people. We need to consolidate positive changes, and ensure the implementation of plans for the construction of new power facilities and the deployment of advanced technologies in the industry. Please, keep these issues under your personal supervision,” Mikhail Mishustin emphasized.
