The President took part in a videoconference meeting dedicated to the opening of the Tochka Budushchego (Point of the Future) educational center in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Kremlin press service reported.
“We set ourselves the task of ensuring that every child – in a megacity, in a small town, or in a northern or Far Eastern community – should have equal opportunities for a quality education, and the joint work of the state and business makes our common goal a reality,” the President emphasized.
The complex in the village of Zhatai opened on September 1, 2026, and became the second in the country – the first has been operating in Irkutsk since 2020. It covers over 50,000 square meters and has a capacity for 1,040 children, including a kindergarten for 200 children and school buildings featuring interactive classrooms, laboratories, and creative spaces for 840 pupils. In addition, the site features a sports and wellness facility, as well as housing for teachers from other regions and for families with foster children.
The project is aimed, among other things, at supporting orphans, children from foster families, and children with disabilities. It is being implemented by the Novy Dom (New Home) charity foundation.
