The Russian government will allocate an additional 157 billion rubles to mortgage programs with state support, including 6 billion rubles for mortgage programs introduced specifically for residents of the Far Eastern regions and the Arctic, the government press service reports.“Federal funding will make it possible to meet our obligations to banks in full. Citizens who are planning to take out a mortgage will continue to have access to the existing programs. We hope that millions of families will be able to address their housing needs through these government support measures,” Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.Another 85 billion rubles will be allocated to subsidize interest rates on loans previously issued under the preferential program, which has already ended.Milhaill Mishustin instructed Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov to personally oversee the issue.
