The first stage of a major investment project to develop the Komandirshorskaya group of fields has been completed, with the necessary production infrastructure now in place, the press service of the Nenets Autonomous Area Government reports.An oil treatment facility with a capacity of more than 800,000 metric tons per year has been built at the fields, along with a rotational camp and administrative and amenity facilities. The supporting road network and external power supply systems have been prepared, as have the oil and gas gathering system.“For the Nenets Autonomous Area, the launch of industrial oil production at the Komandirshorskaya group of fields means the development of the industry and new opportunities for the regional economy,” Nenets Autonomous Area Governor Irina Gekht said.
