More than 70 new transport infrastructure facilities, including the Murmansk Transport Hub, have been included in the updated scheme, according to a document on the official website for the publication of legal acts.The document also outlines measures to develop railway infrastructure on approaches to seaports in the Northwestern Basin. Some of these facilities are located in the Murmansk Region.According to the Murmansk Region Governor Andrei Chibis, the inclusion of these facilities in the scheme gives them clear legal status and makes them eligible for priority funding.“Further development of railway infrastructure in the region, including the routes to the Lavna port, will increase the capacity of the Murmansk Transport Hub and create conditions for new investment and infrastructure projects, as well as increase throughput capability of the Northern Sea Route,” Chibis wrote on social media.
