Frigate Admiral Golovko fires Onyx missile in Barents Sea

The frigate Admiral Golovko launched an Onyx cruise missile from the Barents Sea against a target at the Chizha test range in the Arkhangelsk Region, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service reported.
The launch against a coastal target was part of the Northern Fleet frigate’s scheduled combat training. The missile covered a distance of over 300 kilometers.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, objective monitoring data confirmed that the launch was successful and that all flight and technical parameters were within the specified limits.
Northern Fleet Commander Admiral Konstantin Kabantsov noted that the frigate’s crew had demonstrated a high level of professionalism and naval proficiency in preparing for and conducting the launch.
