The regions of the Far Eastern Federal District have reported positive dynamics of the non-resource non-energy exports, Director General of the Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina said at the plenary session of the Interregional Meeting on the International Cooperation and Export National Project. The news has been reported by the press service of the 2nd Russia-China Forum held in Khabarovsk.Khabarovsk Territory Governor Dmitry Demeshin also spoke about growing export activities and an increased presence of Russian companies in foreign markets.“Considering the location of the Far East, our focus is on Asia. We are also working to expand our export geography, highlighting the promising markets of the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa, where there is a demand for Far Eastern products,” he pointed out.Dmitry Demeshin also spoke about efforts to promote national exports to friendly countries.“Based on the outcome of this meeting, the Khabarovsk Territory will take advantage of the best practices used in the Far Eastern Federal District to make the export process as seamless as possible, and to create conditions for attaining the national goal of increasing non-resource non-energy exports,” the governor said in conclusion.The session participants focused on the instruments of the Made in Russia program, the further development of logistics, and the search for new solutions to facilitate the emergence of Russian companies in foreign markets.“It is vital to continue searching for new logistics solutions together. The region has huge potential for developing new logistics routes. We also have everything necessary to make use of the financial methods within this project for supporting the routes that will help us increase exports,” Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Roman Chekushov said.

“Their non-resource exports increased by 42 percent in the Far East in 2025 and by another 14 percent in the first six months of 2026,” Veronika Nikishina said.
