President of Russia Vladimir Putin holds a briefing session with permanent members of the Security Council on the development strategy for the Arctic and national security in the region
The President’s meeting with the Security Council focused on the development strategy for the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and national security in the Arctic, the Kremlin’s official website reports.
Reports were delivered by Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev and Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev.
The participants also addressed broader military and political issues, the report says.
