The Eastern Economic Forum unveils its 2026 business program

The 11thEastern Economic Forum is scheduled for September 1-4 in Vladivostok, and its program includes over 70 sessions divided into five thematic tracks, the press service of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic said in a statement.
The Living and Working in the Far East track will focus on developing the region’s infrastructure, education and human resources. Participants will include Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic Alexei Chekunkov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya, State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Defense and Chair of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation Anna Tsivileva, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Nikita Stasishin, and Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov.
The Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investment track will offer its participants an opportunity to discuss the development of regional preferential regimes and the stock market, the financing of infrastructure projects, and subsoil use. These sessions will bring together Deputy Governor and member of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Russia Mikhail Mamuta, Chair of the State Duma Committee on the Financial Market Anatoly Aksakov, Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Moiseyev, and Head of the Federal Agency for Fishery Ilya Shestakov.
The Far East – A Pole of International Interaction track will address economic and technological cooperation between Russia and other countries. Participants will include Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk, First Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic Vitaly Altabayev, Chairman of PSB Bank Pyotr Fradkov, and Senior Arctic Official representing Russia at the Arctic Council and Director of the Department of European Issues at the Foreign Ministry Vladislav Maslennikov.

The Technologies of the Present and the Future track will focus on the development of AI, the use of robotics in manufacturing, and the creation of autonomous systems. Speakers will include Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Alexander Kozlov, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Vladislav Davankov, and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Denis Sekirinsky. There will also be foreign experts among the participants, including founder of Philippine Blockchain Week and Founding Vice President of the Blockchain Council of the Philippines Chezka Gonzales, and Zhang Weiwei, Director of the China Institute at Fudan University.
The Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth track will focus on developing the Northern Sea Route, the Trans-Siberian Railway, and other transport arteries, as well as upgrading port infrastructure, and expanding shipping operations. Speakers at the sessions will include CEO of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation Alexei Likhachev, Adviser to the President and Special Presidential Representative for International Cooperation in Transport Igor Levitin, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Grushko.
“We want this forum, like those before it, to become one of the leading platforms for discussing pressing issues dealing with investment projects, strengthening international cooperation, improving the quality of life, as well as promoting cultural and humanitarian ties. <…> This Forum will offer us an opportunity to discuss the implementation of all the existing mechanisms and develop new ways of supporting Far Eastern territories that will make our country stronger,” said Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev said.
