The ship has delivered 500 freight containers via the Northern Sea Route, Governor of the Murmansk Region Andrei Chibis reported on social media.The container ship is operated by New New Shipping Line, an international shipping company based in China.“We are testing out the Northern Sea Route and developing Murmansk as a transport hub – that was the deal,” Andrei Chibis posted.The Press Service of the Murmansk Sea Trade Port further noted that a specialized container terminal was built for processing cargo.In September 2025, the region’s government signed an agreement with the Chinese shipping company on organizing regular container shipping via the port of Murmansk and developing port infrastructure.
