The International Forum of Indigenous Peoples
The event is scheduled to be held on August 13-16. The forum’s main theme deals with indigenous peoples in the context of biodiversity and climate change. One platform will bring together representatives of government agencies, business circles, indigenous peoples and the expert community, including international experts. They will discuss issues of preserving biodiversity , the climate, as well legislative issues and the use of traditional knowledge in modern nature conservation practices.
A panel to prepare for the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity will also be held during the forum.
The forum’s program includes plenary meetings, themed discussions and expert seminars.
