A comprehensive program of polar exploration needs to be developed and launched through joint efforts of the two countries’ research institutes, according to the Aide to the President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev quoted during his working visit to Brazil.
“We deem it important, in the context of Brazil’s growing interest in developing the Arctic and Antarctic, to work out and launch a comprehensive program of polar studies by joining efforts of a number of our countries’ research institutes,” – underscored Nikolai Patrushev in the course of his talks with Brazil's Defense Minister José Múcio Monteiro.
