The investment attracted by the Far Eastern Federal District currently amounts to 6.5 trillion rubles exceeding the initial plan of 5.8 trillion, as reported by Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev during his working meeting with Vladimir Putin, as per the Kremlin’s official website.
In his report, the Plenipotentiary Envoy further noted the growing production rate in the Far Eastern Federal District.

“The Far East’s key development indicators now surpass the Russian average. Investment has increased by 50 percent, industrial production is up 20 per cent, manufacturing has grown by 80 percent, and construction volumes are 50 percent higher,” he added.

Yury Trutnev also stated that the region’s priority is the implementation of master plans for 25 Far Eastern cities.
“To date, 48 percent of the program has been funded, with 233 projects worth 83 billion rubles already completed, and a further 384 currently underway,” the envoy reported.
Yury Trutnev added that science and technology in the Far Eastern Federal District are on the rise. Specifically, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the progress in the construction of a science and technology center on Russky Island.
“Construction is already underway there, and 16 resident companies have been registered. They are working in such fields as biotechnology, biomedicine, and pharmaceuticals. In addition, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, we are working to launch two microelectronics manufacturing facilities.”
Another important matter on the agenda was preparation for the 11th Eastern Economic Forum. Over 300 agreements worth over six trillion rubles were signed during the anniversary forum last year.
“For 2026, we aim to sign an even larger portfolio of agreements – 380 in total, worth 6.5 trillion rubles,” Yury Trutnev noted.
