New social infrastructure projects will be implemented in Yakutsk, Tiksi, Naiba, and Neryungri over the next several years with support from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the ministry’s Telegram channel reports.State Secretary and Deputy Minister Anton Basansky and State Duma Deputy from the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Galina Danchikova discussed the current and future projects to be implemented in the region with the ministry’s support.Seven schools and kindergartens, as well as a new hotel complex, will be built in Yakutsk, the republic’s capital, in 2027.The Arctic townships of Tiksi and Naiba will host 39 projects, including upgrades to transport infrastructure, public utilities, community improvement initiatives, and the construction of new social facilities.In 2027, complete overhaul will be implemented at a hospital in Neryungri and the construction of a children’s camp will reach its final stage. By 2030, the township is expected to gain 17 new schools and kindergartens and four art schools. The second stage of the Neryungri Thermal Power Plant will become operational.In 2027, Yakutia will start implementing an action plan for the development of its Restricted Administrative and Territorial Entity. Its budget for 2027-2028 includes 185.4 million rubles to support community improvements and the modernization of social facilities.
