The number of families with many children has increased by almost ten percent in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and reached 37,000, the head of the region Aisen Nikolayev said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.According to Nikolayev, a trilateral agreement between trade unions, employers and the republican government has been signed in the sphere of social labor relations; the document sets forth a corporate demographic standard and a program for improving the health of employees.The Head of the Republic added that the region continued to lead the way among Far Eastern territories in terms of average life expectancy which currently exceeds 75 years.

“This is our pride, and I believe that this is also the pride of the entire country because families with many children are our tradition,” Aisen Nikolayev stressed.
