On September 1-4, Vladivostok will host the Eastern Economic Forum 2026; its main theme will be The Far East: Development for the Benefit of People.Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yury Trutnev, noted that, since the forum’s inception, it had become possible to attract investment worth almost seven trillion rubles into the Far East and the Arctic and to create 197,000 jobs. According to Trutnev, economic incentives have created a foundation for future development and made it possible to devote more attention to the social sphere, including low-interest mortgages, the Hectare program, infrastructure modernization projects and the renovation of 25 Far Eastern and 15 core Arctic cities and towns.The forum’s business program is divided into five thematic tracks: Living and Working in the Far East, Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investments, The Far East – A Pole of International Interaction, Technologies of the Present and the Future, and Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth.The business program of the Far East Street exhibition will feature an open session on the Muravyov-Amursky 2030 program’s projects,the business game Vladivostok 2050: Designing the City of the Future, and events of the Far East – the Land of Adventure contest.

The press service of the Government quotes Yury Trutnev as saying: “All this has been accomplished in order to make the Far East and the Arctic comfortable for work and life. During the Eastern Economic Forum, we will discuss specific results and our short-term objectives.”
