Intensive work is underway to repair three bridge crossings in Kamchatka, specifically, bridges over the Ipukik and Plotnikov rivers and Kitazhinech Cireek, as per the press service of the Government of the Kamchatka Territory. Initiated by the President of the Russian Federation, the Infrastructure for Life national project made this large-scale infrastructure renovation effort possible.According to the territory’s Minister of Transport and Road Construction, Alexander Safonov, specialists are actively pouring concrete inside load-bearing structures and installing crossings on bridges across the Ipukik River and Kitazhinech Creek; they are also installing bridge railing and protection fencing.“The list of works is quite long. We are working on schedule, we see no risks, and these projects will be completed right on time,” he stressed.The bridge spanning the Plotnikov River will be overhauled under a multi-stage project. Considering its technical complexity, it is necessary to build a temporary bridge, and there are pans to complete all works by 2028.
