In 2025, an international terminal opened at the Khabarovsk Airport; since then, 13 new directions are opened for local residents and visitors and they can fly to cities in China, Thailand, Vietnam and Uzbekistan, as per the official Telegram channel of regional governor Dmitry Demeshin.

“Our residents and city guests can fly to Phuket, Bangkok, Camranh and Sanyi; since early 2026, we have increased a list of flights to China by adding Shanghai and Yichang, and we have resumed flights to Dalian for the first time in 15 years,” the head of the region noted.

Dmitry Demeshin also noted additional tourist traffic to the People’s Republic of China; the number of Khabarovsk residents visiting China has soared by 57 percent on 2025.
“Demand for domestic flights is also on the rise. Local residents fly to Novosibirsk, Magadan and Vladivostok more often. And, of course, we also receive tourists from other regions and countries,” Dmitry Demeshin added.
