Modern agricultural facilities put into operation in Yakutia

New enterprises will help build up the output and enhance the food security in the region’s Arctic Zone, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Government press service reports.
The facilities were built to implement the tasks set in the strategic executive order by Aisen Nikolayev On the Main Directions of State Policy in the Arctic Zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for the Period of up to 2030.
The new enterprises include a cowshed for 120 cows and a modular dairy factory in the city of Verkhoyansk, as well as an up-to-date cattle breeding complex for 100 heads in the Aleko-Kyuel village.
In addition, the region will provide some support measures for developing traditional industries of the North. This year over 32.8 million rubles will be allocated to purchase repair young stock of farm animals. The region will allocate 30 million rubles and 15 million rubles for the modernization of the fisheries complex and the material and technical base of reindeer herding, respectively.
