The purchase of the shipbuilding plant by the region made it possible to retain its production capacities and 250-plus employees.
According to the press service of the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory, the production facility is currently being converted into a shipbuilding and ship repair hub that already incorporates the Khabarovsk-based fleet repair and maintenance base.

“We would like to thank everyone for their dedication. Thanks to your work, our vessels are known and respected far beyond the territory, and the workforce’s achievements inspire new engineers and workers,” Governor Dmitry Demeshin told the staff.

The head of the region noted that the enterprise should commission 11 passenger vessels and 60 components of the pier infrastructure by 2030. There are plans to build landing-stages and catamarans, as well as vessels for the Ministry for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief and the Defense Ministry, including the Pacific Fleet.
